Sebry Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-05-06

Overview

Sebry is a local-first medication and treatment management app. The app is designed to work offline for its core features, including profiles, medicine lists, schedules, reminders, dose history, settings, and on-device OCR.

Sebry does not operate its own user account system or cloud server for your health data. Your app data stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it, or unless you choose to use an optional AI feature that sends selected data to the AI provider you configure.

Data We Access, Store, or Process

Sebry may store or process the following data on your device:

How Sebry Uses Data

Sebry uses local data to show your saved records, schedule reminders, track dose actions, generate adherence and schedule summaries, import and track lab report information, export or import backups, manually share content you choose, provide optional AI features, and check subscription status through Google Play.

Offline Use and Optional Sharing

Sebry's core medication reminder features can work offline. You can use the app without sending medicine, schedule, profile, lab, or adherence data to Sebry or to an AI provider.

Data leaves your device only when you take an action that requires it, such as exporting, saving, or sharing a backup file; sharing a low-stock alert or PDF/report through another app; opening Google Play purchase or subscription flows; or using an optional AI feature after configuring your own AI provider/API key.

AI Features

Sebry includes optional AI-powered features. These features are off by default and require you to configure an AI provider, such as Google Gemini, OpenRouter, or a compatible custom provider. No AI request is made unless you actively trigger an AI feature or enable a related AI option.

Depending on the feature you use, Sebry may send selected medicine, profile, schedule, lab, adherence, image, OCR, chat, or routine context to your chosen AI provider. Lab report import may send lab report images or rendered PDF pages to a vision-capable AI provider for extraction. If you enable remembered chat context, Sebry may keep a compact summary on your device for future follow-up replies in the same profile scope.

AI responses are for convenience and educational support only. Sebry is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency services. Always follow your healthcare provider's instructions and the medication label.

Your AI API key is stored securely on your device and is sent only to the AI provider you configure. It is not included in Sebry backup exports.

Third Parties

Sebry does not sell your data. Data may be handled by third parties only when needed for features you choose, including Google Play for subscriptions, your chosen AI provider for optional AI features, apps you choose for sharing, and Android/device services for local notifications, alarms, widgets, secure storage, file picking, camera capture, text recognition, and system sharing.

Permissions

Sebry may request camera, notifications, exact alarms, full-screen intent, wake lock, vibration, foreground service, boot, battery-optimization related access, audio settings, file/media picker or storage access, and internet access. These permissions support optional photos and lab imports, reminders, reliable alarm behavior, custom sounds, backups, sharing, optional AI requests, Google Play billing checks, and external links.

On-Device OCR

Sebry can use on-device text recognition to read medicine label text from photos. This OCR processing is local to your device. OCR text is not sent anywhere unless you later choose an AI feature that includes that text or photo.

Data Retention and Deletion

Sebry keeps your local data on your device until you delete it, reset the app, uninstall the app, replace it by importing a backup, or delete specific records inside the app.

You can delete individual medicines, schedules, profiles, AI summaries, remembered AI chat summaries, lab reports, and other saved records from the relevant app screens where available. You can also use Settings > Reset app > Clear all local data to remove medicines, schedules, profiles, reminder actions, local settings, legal acknowledgements, local AI chat memory, fluid logs, reminder state, and related local app data from the device.

Importing a backup replaces current local app data with the contents of the backup and clears saved AI API keys. Delete exported backup files, shared files, screenshots, or files saved outside Sebry using your device file manager or the app where you saved or shared them. Uninstalling Sebry removes app-managed local data according to Android system behavior.

Sebry cannot delete data that you already shared with another app, another person, a cloud service, Google Play, or an AI provider. To delete that data, use the deletion tools or contact process provided by that third party. You may contact jayarous@gmail.com with privacy questions.

Security

Sebry stores sensitive profile, medicine, schedule, chat memory, and many health records locally using app-level encryption backed by device secure storage where available. Some operational settings and non-sensitive values may be stored in local app preferences or local SQLite databases.

Exported backup files are standard JSON files for portability and are not automatically end-to-end encrypted by Sebry. Anyone with access to an exported backup file may be able to read its contents. Store and share backups only through channels you trust.

Children's Privacy

Sebry is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children on Sebry servers, because Sebry does not operate a server for app health data.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect app changes or legal requirements. Changes will be posted with a new effective date.
